Essential Oils are..
- Extracted from plants (leaves, stems, flowers, bark, roots, and occasionally other parts of the plants)
- Typically steam distilled or cold pressed
- Not the same as perfume or fragrance oils
- Often clear or pale in color; occasionally amber or yellow in color.
Why Use the Term “Practitioner Grade” instead of “Therapeutic Grade”?
- There is currently no regulating authority for Essential Oils
- Each company determines their own quality and definitions
- No standard or parameters of “Therapeutic Essential Oils”
- Only labeling requirements from the FDA as most are considered cosmetics
- So we chose to use the term Therapeutic Grade as our essential oils are a higher concentration that many other essential oils resulting in using less oil to achieve the same or better results as well as formulated by a Doctor of Traditional Naturopathy.
